11to18 Supporting You Through the Education Journey

11to18 provides bespoke support and advice for parents as you navigate the challenges and opportunities of secondary education with your child. It's simple - you have easy access to me by phone, email / chat at any time to discuss any educational matter on which you would like help, advice, support or simply want to know more.

Here are just a few examples of the support I have given to parents.

Now there's an expert to ask

My service does, of course, provide for unexpected emergencies where serious guidance and care is required.

Example 1 - Allegation of cheating

I recently provided tailored and detailed advice where a boy was accused of cheating in a GCSE examination by having some subject information written on his arm. With some thorough investigation and with a carefully crafted letter to the school, no further action was taken and his GCSEs were saved. (If a candidate is reported to the Exam Board as having cheated in just one examination, results of all examinations can be cancelled.)

Example 2 - Headteacher preparing to permanently exclude a child

Permanent Exclusion of their child is a very serious matter and one a parent is unlikely to have faced before. As a school leader who has taken responsibility for excluding children, I am very familiar with what is and is not acceptable ethically and within the law. Now I advise parents on disciplinary matters and have actively helped where permanent exclusion has been indicated in instances such as theft, fighting and 'persistent disruptive behaviour'.

However, it's not always about advice. One parent whose partner has an extremely demanding time-hungry job, simply calls to share and update on their daughter's schooling and to ask me for my guidance about her progress.

From practical matters, to a listening ear, 11to18 is here to help you and your child.
